SWEETEN WEALTH MANAGEMENT
BUSINESS RETIREMENT PLANS AND FAMILY PLANNING
Sweeten Wealth management is working to change the perception of financial planning by providing an alternative to Wall Street. Finance is often viewed as secret information or wide scale attempts to pick winners. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™, Alan lifts the veil and narrows the focus using financial science, rather than speculation, and helps identify for his clients the risks that are worth taking and the risks that are not.
Alan Sweeten’s interest in what it takes to become successful began at a young age. He would talk to anyone who would share their story. While in the United States Air Force his training to become an instrumentation and telemetry systems technician emphasized attention to detail. Early on he noticed that many of his fellow airmen were making poor choices when it came to online stock trading and investments. When Alan himself was approached by various insurance and financial advisors, he realized that their focus was product driven as opposed to goal driven. That was when Alan knew that he wanted to become a financial planner.
Following the Air Force, Alan finished his Degree in Finance and entered the Independent Financial Planning community. While completing investment and plan reviews for individuals his attention to detail uncovered that many 401(k) plans had high internal fees and rarely offered true global diversification. Alan began to offer businesses retirement plans which emphasize a low-cost and globally diversified fund selection.
The Sweetens appreciate clients who see the value of working with a financial professional; that do not want to take on the responsibility of researching and implementing their own investment programs. Whether it’s a business that wants to provide retirement options for employees, or an individual who’s curious about a common sense approach to long-term investing, Sweeten Wealth Management is driven by helping you increase your assets and helping you pursue your goals
