Summertime is the best time to learn some new and trendy ways to wear your hair without overheating. Fishtail Braid

This fun twist on a traditional braid is sure to bring in attention from all. This braid, also known as the herringbone braid, has been everywhere from runways to red carpets. However, unlike a traditional braid, fishtail braids look better when they start in the center of your head. You can wear the fishtail braid however you want, but the style that is taking over is off to the side.

Messy buns are perfect for summer. When we go for hairstyles in the summer, we tend to go for effortless, and this is absolutely effortless, yet eye-catching. It's not like a typical, tight bun; you want the whole hairstyle to be loose. You can polish it up with a headband, and you can always bring down a few pieces of hair (some wispy tendrils) to add something extra. Feel free to even add in a few braids like suggested before!

Hairstyles these days are all about texture, so when going in for a haircut, why not try a choppy bob? Getting a choppy haircut really enhances texture, and they look even better if you get some nice high and low lights to go with it. Lack of volume is an issue that a lot of people struggle with, but choppy bobs provide more volume. Cutting your hair into a choppy bob is also a sure way to have effortless hair, always. All you have to do is massage a couple of products in your hair, and you should be good to go. Another great thing about choppy bobs? Giving your hair a nice little chop in the summer is a great way to cool off. Don’t be scared to change it up. Remember: it’s hair, it grows back.

If you're feeling bold, chop it all off. Tons of celebrities go for the dramatic pixie cut after years of long hair in order to change up their image, and it’s always such an empowering change. Plus, your neck can actually breathe and enjoy the summer sun. Pixie cuts are trendy in the summer, but again, get creative! You can mix up a pixie cut with a choppy bob, and get a choppy pixie cut. Just have fun with it! This kind of cut is easy to maintain and requires little to no effort. Think about it: we spend a lot of time on our hair most of the time, so imagine if you didn’t have to?
