Ambush Hope: An Explosion of Charity and the Arts for Refugees

Charity Hope worldwide provides relief to refugees

What do couture fashion, avant garde art, and aid to refugees have in common? All will be prominently featured at the Ambush Hope charity event, which takes place on July 24th at the Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla. Produced by Exhibit Ambush and benefiting HOPE worldwide, Ambush Hope will be an explosion of fashion, arts and comedy that will dazzle your senses, warm your heart, and make your stomach sore from laughing.

Combine fierce fall fashion with entertainment in Ambush Hope’s fantastic philanthropic fashion show. Kicking off the couture showcase is a children’s fashion show, which displays some of the latest looks for kids. Then enjoy the latest looks for adults with a trending-setting fashion show featuring fall/winter collections by designers Rebekah LaPlante, Jessica Garcia, Naomi Ramos, Tanya Jenkins and Carolina Hernandez. With wild music by DJ Barry Thomas and even wilder fashions by these artistic designers, guests are guaranteed to see a parade of perfection as the models strut down the runway showcasing the distinctive designs.

Hosted by former refugee Hassina Lor, Ambush Hope brings together nearly 500 guests for a night of unrestrained entertainment. Hear Lor’s heart-wrenching tale of her experience in Cambodia and learn why providing aid to refugees can help save lives. The event will also feature a live performance from indie-pop singer Natalie Emmons, featuring her new energetic single "Call of the Wild."

This year, Exhibit Ambush is partnering with HOPE worldwide, a San Diego-based nonprofit international charity dedicated to changing the lives of the poor, sick, and suffering throughout the world. Distinguished and revered, HOPE worldwide mobilizes thousands of volunteers and dozens of partner organizations to provide relief, including American Red Cross, USAID and the United Nations.

HOPE worldwide helps to illuminate the kinder side of human nature for refugees and those left fighting for basic survival by operating as a faith-based charity. Some of the programs HOPE worldwide currently operates throughout the world include a hospital healthcare system in Cambodia, disaster resiliency programs in Indonesia, and basic food and supplies distribution for Syrian refugees in Eastern Europe. Magnanimous and focused on making a difference, HOPE worldwide is active in over 60 countries. Presently, they have a strong focus on bringing aid to orphans and vulnerable children. More than tangible clinics or aid, this charity brings hope to sick children and impoverished adults on every inhabited continent in the world.

Help bring light into someone else’s life while enjoying an Exhibit Ambush fashion show at the same time! The show is July 24th from 7 pm until 11 pm at the Museum of Contemporary Art. VIP tickets are limited and available at Ambush Hope.
