An Example of Artistic Expression and Inclusivity
San Diego’s Watercolor Society in Point Loma’s Liberty Station is nothing short of an artistic gem. The Marina-side streets of Liberty Station are lined with stoic, pillared buildings, one of which is home to the Watercolor Society. The society displays monthly exhibits; this month’s show is titled "Universal Notes." Paintings of landscapes, cityscapes, portraits and abstracts line the walls, showcasing the talent among participating members. Wine and h'ordeuvres circulated the gallery as artists discussed their technique and inspiration on opening night.
"Universal Notes" will be on display until the end of March with all pieces available for purchase. Along with monthly exhibits, they welcome people of all ages and levels of expertise who are interested in watercolor to join their monthly meetings and become a member. Whether you are a painter or simply appreciate watercolor, the doors to San Diego’s Watercolor Society are open to you.
