Double Trouble from Fashion Duo Nina and Nita

Who doesn’t love beauty and brains? Times that by two, and you’ve got the blonde bombshell European social media models Nina and Nita. Originally from Finland, Nina and Nita traveled to Los Angeles to pursue acting and modeling at a young age, and they’ve found modest success. Recently, the pair had a modeling appearance on ABC’s FabLife, hosted by Tyra Banks and Chrissy Teigen. With a bachelor’s degree in business in hand, Nina and Nita currently blog, host a Youtube channel and continue to model the latest trends in fashion and style. With a growing online following, Nina and Nita are a pair worth keeping your eye on—and FINE Magazine spoke to them about their lifestyle.

Where did your love of fashion and dressing alike come from? Our passion for fashion started at a very young age. When we were kids, we loved watching fashion shows. Afterwards, we would raid our mom’s closet and try on her clothing, handbags and high heels, [as if] we were as glamorous as the models. Like most twins, our parents began dressing us in matching clothing at an early age. We thought it was fun, and since our taste in fashion is similar, continuing to dress alike felt natural to us. Being twins has always been a source of pride for us, and we enjoy reflecting that by creating matching styles.

At times, does it get frustrating or overwhelming being twin sisters who blog together? As is the case with most siblings, we have our fair share of arguments, but they never last very long. While being twins and spending a lot of time together is natural for us, we each enjoy our own personal lives as well.

What sets you apart from other twins who blog? We don’t just write about fashion—we also blog about things like beauty, current events, news, travel and tips for everyday life. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, so in addition to writing with an eye for fashion, we try to view things from a humorous perspective. Also, the fact that we are from a small northern country, [Finland], where the total population is less than the city where we now live—L.A.—provides us with a unique world view.

How would you describe your own personal style? Though similar, there are definitely unique aspects in each of our [separate] personal styles. For example, Nita tends to wear lighter tones like ivory, beige and rose, while Nina enjoys shades like gold, silver and red.
