Dr. Azimi was a refugee in Pakistan as a child, until his family ultimately travelled to the U.S. He learned the English language in a quick 6 months, and after 5 years of education, the young Dr. Azimi received a scholarship to Columbia University where he completed his B.A. in Chemistry. From there, Dr. Nassir Azimi attended Dartmouth Medical School and completed his residency at the University of Colorado. He finished his 4 year fellowship in Cardiovascular and Peripheral Interventions at the prestigious Yale University. Dr. Azimi has been in private practice for 12 years, establishing a thriving clinical practice for cardiac patients and treating patients for peripheral vascular disease. He is active in Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Interventions, and he does structural heart interventions, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Currently, Dr. Azimi is the Chief of Medicine and Chief of Endovacular Medicine at Sharp Grossmont Hospital. He is also an investigator in multiple clinical research studies for various cardiac and peripheral disease indications, and Dr. Azimi is on the California A.C.C. Board of Governors. Recently, Dr. Azimi received the Fellow of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.

In the 12 years he has been in practice, Dr. Azimi has only lost one patient on the operating table—a record that proves you’re in good hands.
