How to Organize Your Bedroom with Expanded Bedroom Sets

A lack of storage space is the number one complaint of most bedrooms, especially among those who like to stay organized and have a place for everything. Some furniture items can be purchased in addition to a bedroom set if you need some additional comfort, storage, and ease in your master bedroom.

The average bedroom set indeed has just four pieces: a bed, two nightstands, and a dresser. This is hardly enough space and convenience for the average person. If you have a more oversized master bedroom, you can give yourself more shelf room with these additional matching bedroom set furniture pieces. You can also consider using a queen murphy bed for a more relaxing and comforting sleep experience.

Add a wardrobe for additional or seasonal clothing storage.

A wardrobe is a great place to stash seasonal or infrequently worn items. Most are lined with cedar or pine to protect your clothing. They also have drawers and shelves for bulkier items or accessories like gloves, scarves, and umbrellas.

Think about an armoire for additional storage of soft goods.

Have an affinity for throws and pillows? If you frequently change out these items in your bedroom, an armoire is an excellent choice for your bedroom set. Most have shelves and cedar-lined drawers for all of your throws, blankets, and spare pillows.

You have several options for adding a stately mirror.

Everyone needs to have a mirror in their bedroom. Why not make it part of the bedroom set? Many complex furniture sets have an optional floor mirror. Others have a chest of drawers with an optional mirror that attaches to the back. And, of course, you can buy a floor mirror separately. Some floor mirrors even house hidden jewelry armoires.

A vanity gives you a comfortable place for self-care.

Add a vanity to give you a comfortable place to primp and store all of your most essential accessories. Some bedroom vanities even have mirrors that hide jewelry hooks for more secure storage. Rise to prepare for the day at your vanity. Then sit on the bench again in the evening as you prepare for bed. Choose a classic vanity to feel like a princess, or choose a more modern vanity with LED mirrors to feel like a movie star.

Storage benches are both functional and versatile.

If you have difficulty getting dressed, putting on hosiery, or putting on shoes without a stable place to sit, adding a bedroom bench is a must. Storage benches are the way to go. You’ll get the same seat support that you would with any other bedroom bench, but you’ll also have a storage space to stash keepsakes, throws, or pillows.

Accent chairs can give you a comfortable seating area.

If you need a spot to sit with back support for phone calls, reading, or getting dressed, an accent chair is a way to go. Better than a simple foldable chair, an accent chair is comfortable, padded, and adds flair to the room. Add a small table and lamp to complete the corner.

Of course, not all of these items will be found as a part of the bedroom set you choose. But, if you purchase your bedroom furniture online, you will still be able to get all of the furniture pieces you need for your bedroom in one place.
