Located in Chula Vista, Jeni’s Cookies and More is supplying sugar addicts like myself with cookies and cakes that overpower every other sense in your body as your tastebuds absorb the decadent flavors from every bite.

Jeni Robinson, a navy wife originally from Virginia, presents her contagiously authentic smile everywhere she goes. She lights up any event drawing people in with her warm and friendly aura, making customers feel comfortable and giddy before even tasting her sweet creations. "My company is based on bringing happiness to people with a combination of top-notch customer service. I strive to meet every request from customers and love to see the pure joy on people's faces when they see, and then taste, my sweets," says Robinson.

The company was primarily created to help her daughter earn money to play on a club volleyball team. Unfortunately, two years ago Robinson lost her job as a paralegal. Instead of getting down in the dumps, she looked at the loss as a sign for her to put more effort into her own business––and we are sure glad she did. "Most of my cookies are based on my 92 year old grandma's recipes," Robinson says. "She had always told me to keep the bluebird of happiness on my shoulder, which is why I have included the bluebird in my logo."

Robinson’s cookies are phenomenal, and she continues to impress clients with her creative mix-ins. At the second annual Del Mar Tequila Classic, she presented her cupcakes and cookies with a twist by adding different alcohols into the mix. Since then she has also popped up at other FINE events such as the recent Haute 2 Trot.

Have a little baker of your own in the house? Robinson is currently teaching classes to children at Standlee’s in Chula Vista on Saturday mornings. It’s the perfect place to bring the kids and let them learn from a pro in a family-friendly environment. Kids can come in and practice the art of baking while enjoying their tasty goods!
