San Diego November Formal Events

The end of October into the month of November offered a ton of fantastic black-tie and formal charity events for San Diego citizens. From Smash Global's MMA Charity Gala to the Josie Pearl Annual Memorial Scholarship Soiree, San Diego was rife with fantastic charity events. In addition, San Diego also played host to a premiere party for The Romance, a new reality television show that is set in San Diego. The show airs vis Cox and Time Warner Cable.

On November 13th, guests of Smash Global’s MMA Charity Gala enjoyed tastings from some of San Diego’s best restaurants, professional mixed martial arts cage fights, hosted cocktails provided by 619 Vodka, U4rik Tequila and Social Tap Eatery, and a live auction that featured a one–of–a–kind custom Harley Davidson to benefit cancer patients.

The 3rd Annual Heels & Wheels event took place at the elegant Lexus dealership located at the Centre in Escondido. Over one hundred guests enjoyed a glamorous night with a decadent dinner, silent and live auction and a mesmerizing fashion show. The proceeds will benefit the charity No More Silence, aiding victims of domestic violence. Event organizer and Del Mar Cigar Club CEO Loran Kelley III says it’s important to him to promote causes in need of a spotlight: "This topic has a personal connection to our family and it’s something that people don’t readily speak about. Statistics show that 1 of out of ever 4 women are involved in domestic violence cases during their lives." Kelley says the proceeds from the event will help in the development of an app that will assist victims of domestic violence via a buddy contact system.

Resurrection Radio

The Josie Pearl Memorial Scholarship held it’s annual celebration in mid–October at the Sunroad Resort Marina. Supporters, sponsors and the public were invited to join together to help raise dollars to support scholarships for local students in need of college funds. Guests enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres, fine wines and craft beer from San Diego’s best restaurants, wineries and breweries, as well as live dance music from local band Resurrection Radio.

The Romance Premiere
