Carnival Against Cancer

The inaugural Carnival Against Cancer charity fundraiser sponsored by the BAG (Business Associates Group) Networking was a smashing success! Almost $6,000 was raised for cancer care at Scripps Health. The colorful and festive samba-themed event took place at the prestigious La Valencia Hotel in the heart of La Jolla. Entertainment included singer Barry Allen Cohen. A special fire performance by Jay7 Productions added a spark to the evening. The mistress of ceremonies was former NBC and KTLA journalist Gloria Goldstein. BAG CEO Barbara Cafaro says, "We have all been touched by the pain of cancer, but together we can all help heal."
Opening Day of Del Mar Racetrack

More than 40,000 race fans participated in the fun and fashionable festivities at the annual Del Mar Racetrack’s Opening Day. There were a record number of entries in the traditional hat competition run by Studio Savvy Salon. The hats were judged for creativity and style, and the winners received both cash and sponsor prizes. The racing events will continue at the Del Mar Racetrack through September 5th.

City Ballet of San Diego held their latest fundraiser on June 5th at a private hanger at Montgomery Field. Filled with biplanes, live music and a special performance from City Ballet’s principal dancers, Take Flight was a fun afternoon at the airfield! As a special thank you to their patrons, City Ballet raffled off a week-long trip to Hawaii.
