Dr. Michael Koumjian earned his B.S. from Pennsylvania State University in 1974, and his M.D. from New Jersey College of Medicine in 1977. He completed his residencies in General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Naval Hospital. Dr. Koumjian is certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Currently, Dr. Koumjian is the Chief of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery at Sharp Grossmont Hospital and a Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgeon.
