The variety of 5K races in San Diego throughout the year cater to runners of all types of abilities, so there is a race for just about everyone. Check out our list of some of the races happening this year.
Mardi Gras 13.1, 10K, 5K San Diego
Race along this festive course in colorful costumes and masks and enjoy the views of Mission Bay Park and Fiesta Island, then enjoy a bit of New Orlean cuisine in a post race celebration. Race begins Saturday, February 11 and prices range from $40-$80.
2017 Coronado Valentine’s Day 10K ,5K and 1 Mile Fun RunÂ
Starting at Tidelands Park, runners will get to run along a flat course through beautiful Coronado Island and see some historic homes. Race begins Sunday, February 12 and prices range from $28-$115.
The Ultimate Wine Run San Diego
Located at NTC Park at Liberty Station, this one-of-a-kind race starts with wine tasting before the race and a very exciting after-party. Race begins Saturday, February 18 and prices range from $20-$40.
4th Annual Bookin’ It For The Broncs 5K
The race begins at 8:30am at the Rancho Bernardo Community Center. Race along the beautiful Piedras Pintada Trail surrounding Lake Hodge. Race begins Sunday, February 26 and prices range from $20-$35
The Super Run 5K
This superhero-themed run, located at Embarcadero Marina North, lets you become a real life hero, so grab your capes and fly over. You can choose to either run for fun or choose your favorite charity to donate the money you raise. The event starts at 8 am on Saturday, March 4 and prices range from $25-$35.
Camo For A Cause
This run is hosted by the The Unbattle Project, a nonprofit organization that offers free confidential counseling for men and women in the military. This event will be held Saturday, March 4 at 7:30 am near Liberty Station, between Dewey Rd. and Roosevelt Rd. along Cushing Rd. Price of admission is $30.
HHR San Diego Run
The Happy Hour Run features an evening race followed by a party full of fun festivities, including a DJ, food trucks, beer pong, cornhole, giant Jenga and of course a bar! Located at NTC Park, the event starts Saturday, March 25 and price of admission is $45.You must be 21 years or older to run, but kids are welcome to join the rest of the fun.Â
West Hills High School PTSA Color Fun Run
This event is located at West Hills High School and will feature a live DJ. The run is intended to promote healthiness, happiness and family and to bring the community together. This event begins Sunday, April 2 and is open to everyone with prices ranging from $10-$25.
Cancer Awareness 5K Run/Walk
This run will take place on Saturday, April 29 at the Bayside Park in Chula Vista to help support local cancer patients by promoting health education, early detection and cancer awareness. The course provides beautiful views of the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge and the San Diego Skyline. Admission ranges from $25-$40.
Celebration Run San Diego Nighttime 5K
This event begins at 6 pm, and the 5K run begins at 7:30pm in downtown San Diego. You will be able to celebrate the San Diego Nightlife with a Celebration Nation Finish Line Festival during the run. Price of admission is $50.
