The Rat Pack, swingin’ show tunes and classic celebrity roasts. They may be a thing of the past, but the spirit of those golden times lives on through the legendary Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational, the once-a-year charity event that brings together hundreds of golfers, spectators and celebrities from all over the country to unwind, play golf and celebrate—all in the name of good will.
This year’s invitational, presented by Starkey Hearing Technologies and hosted by Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, will be held February 19-21 at the Eagle Falls Golf Course in Indio, CA for a fun and relaxing 18-hole challenge. The event will also feature a live and silent auction, luncheon and fashion show; with proceeds benefiting the Barbara Sinatra Center for Abused Children, a nonprofit that provides support, counseling and education to physically, sexually and emotionally abused children.
This year’s celebrity guest list includes Joe Montegna, Smokey Robinson, Jim McMahon, Steve Garvey, Danny Masterson, Frankie Muniz and others; and is expected to bring in more than 180 amateur contestants in addition to hundreds of spectators, donors and sponsors. Headlining the event will be celebrity guests Robert Wagner and Burt Bacharach.
Competing golfers will be grouped into teams of five, each team having one celebrity member. Celebrities will then move to different teams for the second round. The tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, February 20, followed by the live and silent auction, luncheon and fashion show. The second round of the tournament starts at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
