Expanding El Paseo

The El Paseo Shopping District offers world-class shopping and dining at the desert’s newest offerings. The season is upon us, and "The Rodeo Drive of the Desert" is already tantalizing shoppers with some new shops and restaurants. Marie and Kelly Gray, the mother and daughter team that put St. John Knits in the upper reaches of high fashion, have teamed up for a new apparel store at the west end of the boulevard. The casual luxury line of ladies wear at GRAYSE is located at 73-130 El Paseo Suite H, Palm Desert. Susan Stauber, the General Manager, welcomes those looking for the modern collection of specialty separates designed for women who love quality, luxury, and style.

The largest and brightest star on the boulevard is surely PRESAGE , having opened in November, CEO and designer Valerie McNamara prides herself in searching the globe for design, craftsmanship, functionality, and the best of materials. She brings classic style in vivid colors for you and your home. The PRESAGE boutique is Valerie’s vision and is meticulously constructed to allow the client to shop in complete luxury and comfort.

The newest of the many fine restaurants on El Paseo is Il Corso, where chef Mario Marfia and developer John Wessman melded their talents to bring a unique Italian dining experience to El Paseo in Palm Desert. Soon to open is THAI SMILE, sister to the THAI SMILE in Palm Springs that has been offering authentic Thai food here since 1991. This famous street is the place to be during the festive holidays with the many lights and special decorations. Along with these new openings, the long established merchants welcome you as well to the desert’s best shopping and dining experience.
