Holidays are always a great excuse to get creative with your manis.
The fourth of July is around the corner! Do you have the perfect patriotic nail art for the occasion?
This nail art in particular set off some fireworks at FINE. To create it yourself all you will need is red, white, blue and glitter polish and rhinestones.
Copy parts of it, or re-create the whole mani. Either way, you will have the most patriotic hands for the weekend.
These manis' can range from super-duper easy to very complicated nail art tutorials. If you would like something but it seems too complex, just tone it down with a few modifications!

Here are step-by-step directions:
1. Prep your nails by filing them to your preferred shape and apply a base coat.
2. Apply two coats of red polish to your thumb.
3. Apply two coats of blue polish to your index and pinky fingers. For added sparkle, use a polish with glitter.
4. Apply two coats of white polish to your middle finger.
5. Apply two coats of silver glitter polish to the ring finger and carefully apply silver rhinestones.
6. To create the American flag on your middle finger, use a precision art brush to draw a small box at the lower right corner of the nail. Fill in with blue polish. Then clean the brush with remover and dip it into the silver polish to paint on small stars. Then clean the brush again and dip it into the red polish to create small horizontal stripes.
7. Finally apply a top coat to all your nails to seal and add shine.
Nail Wraps
Or you can go with something like Stars & Stripes Heat Activated Nail Wraps
So if you are feeling patriotic this year, then why not try nail wraps? These wraps are heat activated just pull out your hair dryer and apply the heat directly onto your nails (you can do your toes too). Simple right? Easy to use and you can find them on Etsy.com
Bedazzled Stars
Upgrade your basic mani to a fun 3D design. Super simple, choose a base coat ( red, white, or blue ) before dropping a small dot of nail glue on the area you want to place the star. Use a tweezer to lay the star on top of the glue and press down. Wait for a few minutes. The perfecto. Or if you prefer to use gel on your nails, just place the gem on your polish, swipe on a clear gel, and put your nails into your UV gel lamp to secure the design.
