Many of us dream of experiencing the beautiful sweeping landscapes of the California countryside or enjoying the sprawling metropolis within its cities. When taking a work trip to Los Angeles on your business trip, you need to plan out which iconic sights you’ll have time to witness. Having a plan will ensure you cross those must-see attractions off your bucket list.
How to Make the Most out of Your Los Angeles Business Trip
Besides all the responsibilities, people in business love to explore the city they are visiting. There are plenty of things to do in LA that won’t distract you too much from your work but still allow you to get a taste of the Los Angeles area. Stay productive by visiting the following locations.
Hollywood Walk of Fame
Hollywood is known for its movies and big stars, so it’s important to celebrate that part of LA culture by visiting the Walk of Dame and Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. There are over 2,600 stars, and you’ll see most of them during the walk from Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue. Be sure to pause at Sunset and Bronson to get a good look at the Hollywood Sign.
Warner Bros Studio Tour
The Warner Bros Studio complex is one of the most exciting and bustling places to be in Hollywood. You’ll get to take a look at famous sets from your favorite TV shows and films. The two-hour tour includes an in-depth look at each Batmobile and lets you explore the interactive Stage 48 soundstage. You can purchase merchandise at the end at the Warner Bros. Studio store.
Pilates Platinum
If you’re a health enthusiast, you’ll fit right in with the crowds at Pilates Platinum. To experience the actual Californian burn, Hollywood locals will travel to one of central LA’s four locations, even if other gyms are closer. This standout studio offers classes that include flexibility, strength, and cardio training. Classes are capped at 14 people, so you’ll receive individual instruction.
The Getty Center and Villa
Referred to as the Getty by locals, the J. Paul Getty Museum is an art museum that includes two campuses, the center and villa. There’s a lot to see in this architectural marvel, so if you can manage to travel to the Santa Monica Mountains for a visit, we’d recommend it. Admission to both the Getty Center and Villa are accessible, but guided tours will help you see more in less time.
The Sunset Strip
Within the Sunset Strips lies multiple architectural and historical landmarks along with incredible music venues. Home to Whisky a Go Go, The Viper Room, and Roxy Theatre, you’ll get to see live music at all hours of the night. You can also visit famous hotels like The Standard and Sunset Tower. Grab a seat at The Laugh Factory or Comedy Store to watch comic legends.
Griffith Observatory
The city that never sleeps looks incredible from the steps of the Griffith Observatory at night. Once a month, the Observatory will host star parties, but they always allow free public telescope access to everyone. You’ll have to hike on the Firebreak trail or the Western Canyon loop to reach the top. While you won’t see many stars, you’ll have a full view of the city.
Santa Monica Pier
In 1909 the Santa Monica Pier opened up to the public and was famed as the final stop on Route 66. The piece is considered one of the most picturesque spots in LA and contains many fun things to do. If you don’t have time to try out all the rides, we recommend the Ferris Wheel and the world-famous Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant for tasty seafood.
