Forget Nail Polish – Chanel Nail Rings

When it comes to nails, there is no doubt that Chanel is a trendsetter. That’s why at FINE we always stays on the watch to see what is going on in the finger department at every Chanel show.

But for once, at the house’s post-apocalyptic fall couture show, Chanel’s models nails were left completely nude and natural. Instead, attention was focused on the models fingers.

Decked out in luxurious ring multiples, Chanel one-upped the knuckle ring trend, debuting their new take on nail art: The nail ring.

Forget Nail Polish – Chanel Nail Rings

I would say it’s similar to bejewel nail art, minus the kitschy aspect (yay!).

Besides being groundbreaking, posh and cool (I’m GUSHING over them), they might also be impractical. Maybe the design is such that these pieces are quite safe and sit elegantly on the nail (I hope!). But it seems like everyday activities like eating, typing, and digging for lip-gloss in one’s purse, might become a bit more tricky, and the threat of jewelry loss could be high.

Imagine…sporting your to die for Chanel nail rings only to realize one or two of your beloved, expensive, nail rings have disappeared. To die will take on a literal meaning.

Will you risk your rings and try this new trend?

Umm…I will!
