All Things Wedding Colors and Flowers

One of your first decisions when planning your wedding is your color scheme. The colors you choose (aside from white, of course) will be featured in the attire of your bridal party, decorations, floral arrangements, table settings, and even food and cake. You can choose a color combination of two or three complimentary colors. Some people simply select one color to accompany their white dress and the green stems of their bridal bouquet.

The wedding colors you choose can actually be very telling about your personality. Whether you are spunky and want to reveal your zest for life by choosing orange, or classic and want to choose navy blue, the color combination you opt for shows your guests about your tastes and fashion ideas.

Whether you go for classic, chic, boho, or rustic, your wedding theme must be supplemented by a wedding color scheme. The current trend forecasting has attested that blush pink and light blue like that of a chambray are the colors to embrace for 2016. Pantone married these two colors as the 2016 color of the year and labeled them Rose Quartz and Serenity.

Pantone released this dual color combination the first time in their press release on December 3, 2016 and ever since, we have seen the soft shades surface across the runways. New York Fashion Week and numerous other catwalks throughout the year have flaunted the haute hues for both SS16 and FW16-17 RTW collections. It is without hesitation that we presume rose quartz and serenity will be in the attire of many bridal parties this wedding season.

Wedding Peonies Bouquet

Muave, too, is a trending color that you may choose for your wedding. It looks unique, as it is a dusty purple or light, delicate burgundy hue. A blush pink shows femininity and is the most common wedding color that brides choose.

Wedding flowers and bridal bouquets chosen for weddings must be both in accord with the season and the selected wedding colors. Blush pink roses, peonies, Italian clooney ranunculus, amaryllis, and hydrangeas are all classic wedding flowers. Tulips bloom from November to May and have wonderful variations, including ombre rose quartz double fringed tulips. French tulips come in ivory, pale yellow, or pink. Calla lilies are magnificent, with their large head and smooth stem. The Calla lilies bloom year round, especially from winter to late spring, and they come in ivory, yellow, orange, pink, red, and burgundy.  Amaryllis are in season from November to April and typically bloom in white, yellow, green, pink, and burgundy. Bouvardia flowers are tiny, star shaped flowers that come in white, peach, pink, and red.

No matter what, your wedding should look exactly as you pictured it. From the flowers that you want to the gorgeous colored aesthetic you crave, make your wedding everything you've dreamed it to be with nothing but the trendiest colors and flowers!
