Haute 2 Trot Event Recap: Del Mar Fashion and Fun!

Del Mar Plaza Events

The 3rd Annual Haute 2 Trot Fashion Show, presented by FINE Magazine, Oakwood Escrow, and American Portfolio Mortgage, was a huge success last week at the Del Mar Plaza Deck. We were thrilled to partner with local charity The Collective Access, which helps teach kids the value of networking and relationships to achieve their dreams.

The plaza was delightfully crowded with guests excited to see the hottest summer fashions on the runway, just in time for racing season (which is right around the corner!). Tawnie Vargas and Kimi Evans emceed the evening, from the hat contest to the fashion show, and provided a warm welcome to the event.

The evening kicked off with live music from Danny Jacobson providing his soulful renditions of classic Frank Sinatra songs, followed by a live set from local band Otto Pilot. The soundtrack for the rest of the night was provided by distinguished DJ Dan Castillo. Vendors provided samples of beverages, food tastings, and wine all throughout the plaza for attendees to enjoy, full list down below. Our VIP guests also has access to our hosted bar, with skilled bartenders provided by CPB Bartenders.

As always, the annual hat contest was a highlight of the evening. Many guests attended in their finest couture millinery, and there were several excellent contestants in the running. The contest was judged by former NFL player Terrel Fletcher, San Diego councilwoman Lori Zapf, fashionista blogger Sonya Berg, and Craig Sewing of The American Dream
