When two new luxury apartment complexes, The Dylan and The Huxley, opened in West Hollywood in 2014, locals were left wondering who was behind the masterpieces of modern design. With the housing market back on the rise and new apartment complexes as common as beaches in LA, it took a lot to impress the public, but The Dylan and The Huxley did just that; when investigated, Los Angelenos and admirers across the country found Monarch Group (in partnership with Essex Property Trust) at the heart of those newly designed digs.

Recently, for example, Monarch acquired a prime piece of Point Loma real estate where they’re building one of their signature luxury apartment complexes that will feature plenty of resident amenities, including a fitness center, dog park, BBQ areas, outdoor fireplaces, and of course, a resort-style swimming pool surrounded by private cabanas. The project’s Irving Gill-inspired design and architecture will combine luxury living with coastal living.

One need only look at The Dylan and The Huxley in West Hollywood to see why Monarch Group is earning nothing but praise as of late. In partnership with Essex Property Trust, Monarch Group created a completely unique and timeless set of residences in West Hollywood. Both projects feature private movie theaters, plenty of patio and outdoors spaces and the sleek, modern architecture you’d hope to find in the

Both projects received prestigious NAHB Nationals (one Silver, one Gold) Awards in 2015 for "Best Architectural Design of an Attached Community-Urban," proving that they’re not just easy on the eyes, but genuinely innovative, too. Both also feature distinctive public art installations by award-winning artist Gaston Nogues. 

Though Monarch Group’s most recent accolades come from projects a little farther north, we in San Diego still have a lot to be excited about.
