Fall Into Color

While the exteriors of our region’s Tuscan-style home are still rustic and sun-baked, many residents are now adding bold colors to their interior décor. After all, color is the latest trend, and Le Dimora Décor and Interior Design is on top of the style du jour.

Many exciting new accents and accessories don Le Dimora’s showroom, which is located at the Del Rayo Fairbanks Plaza. Rancho Santa Fe is known as one of the most affluent communities in the world, and Le Dimora just happens to have an 11,000-square-foot showroom in the heart of this enclave privy to the wealthy and the famous. So it’s no surprise that the inside of Le Dimora feels like a private estate, with eclectic and contemporary furniture capturing the sophisticated and affluent style of Southern California.

Maria Barry and Cindy Cerenzie launched Le Dimora in 2007. Originally located in the Santaluz Verazzano Shopping Center, the business partners moved their showroom to the sought-after 92067 zip code that includes residents such as Bill Gates and Phil Mickelson. A freelance designer in Rancho Santa Fe since 1995, Barry brings 10 years of prior East Coast experience. Le Dimora also has eight designers on staff that works with Barry and Cerenzie.

Barry had one word for this season’s trend.

"Color, color, color, she explained. "We are bringing in a lot of new and old favorites, but showing them in color as opposed to the gold and brown tones that we are used to seeing. It’s very exciting to see the pieces come alive and take on a whole new dimension. Colorful accessories and area carpets in fun and bold designs and have also jazzed up our showroom."

Barry was also anticipating the arrival of items they purchased at the famed High Point Market in North Carolina.

"There are some exciting new designs that are hitting the showroom every day now," she said.

Popular brands at Le Dimora include Marge Carson and Hancock and Moore, a "high-end brand that specializes in transitional and traditional leather," according to Barry, who added that Lillian August — a Le Dimora exclusive for San Diego — is also in demand.

"Some of their new mirrored pieces are fabulous," she gushed.

This fall, think bold. Update your interior with new textures, vibrant accents, and simple furniture pieces. And if that thought is intimidating, remember that style and elegance are accessible to anyone if they know where to buy the must-have brands and whom to hire for interior design.

"With incredible service, fair pricing and an amazing experience — while taking out all the pain out of decorating — Le Dimora offers every service imaginable," Barry said. "We want our clients to always feel positive and have an enjoyable lasting experience."

After all, as Henry David Thoreau said: "It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see."
