For many, crimes in the home are the most frightening. There’s nothing quite as terrifying as the idea of a stranger gaining access to the place where you are supposed to be able to relax, after all!
That’s why anti-loitering devices exist, and these three companies have managed to create devices that work exceptionally well.
1. Mosquito Loitering Solutions
First up is Mosquito Loitering Solutions, a company that produces very high-quality mosquito alarms to stop antisocial behaviour. When it comes to anti-loitering alarms, it is the gold standard, often used by local authorities for crime prevention.

This creates an aggressive, insect-like sound that people find highly irritating, meaning they will move along from your home before they have the chance to commit any serious crimes!
2. Brocott
The Ultrasonic Antisocial Deterrent device from Brocott helps stop rough sleeping, vandalism, and potential break-ins. It emits an insect-like sound with its silent ultrasonic output, which reaches an acoustic range of 50m. However, you can extend this device with the 10m extension lead. Plus, the device itself can be easily swivelled around to point in the direction you want it to go.
This Brocott device is specifically designed for targeting youngsters, so no adults should be able to hear the high-pitched tone. So, if you are experiencing home-related crimes that involve teenagers, it’s a useful device to use. However, keep in mind that Brocott only ships to the UK.
3. ABC Fire and Security
ABC Fire and Security specialises in devices that deter teenagers specifically. Their anti-loitering device produces a mosquito-like sound that is very high-pitched and can only be heard by young people, not adults. Like the other devices listed, this sound irritates the teenagers, making them move along within just a couple of minutes, preventing loitering altogether. So, if you’re in an area that experiences a lot of crime from people under the age of 25, it’s perfect. The chances are they will not vandalise your home or try to break in with a sound like this surrounding them.
The sound travels about 100 square meters around the device, but there are extenders and speakers available if you want to cover a wide area.
