The Gateway of India is one of India's most unique landmarks, situated in the city of Mumbai. The colossal structure was built in 1924. The main reason behind the construction of the Gateway of India was to celebrate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to Bombay (Mumbai). The Gateway of India is a monument that marks India's chief ports.

Hawa Mahal 

Situated at Badi Choupad (Pink City of Jaipur), Hawa Mahal was built in 1799. It has 953 windows on the outside walls, making the structure appealing to the eye. The honeycomb-shaped and magnificently carved windows allow a breeze to blow through the palace on summer days.

Qutub Minar

Qutub Minar 

Qutub Minar in a large, red standstone building; it is also the highest tower in India. Built in the early 13th century a few kilometres south of Delhi, the red sandstone tower of Qutub Minar is 72.5 m high, tapering from 2.75 m in diameter at its peak to 14.32 m at its base, alternating angular and rounded flutings.

Sundarban National Park

The Sundarbans is a cluster of low-lying islands in the Bay of Bengal, measuring about 40,000 sq km across India and Bangladesh, making it the largest active delta in the world. Sundarban National Park was formed by the river Ganga and Brahmaputra. The region is well-known for its unique Mangrove forest. These forests are home to many rare and globally threatened wildlife species, such as the estuarine crocodile, the Bengal tiger, water monitor lizard, gangetic dolphin, olive ridley turtle, and the cobra.

Pondicherry 

Pondicherry (now known as Puducherry and commonly referred to as just Pondy), is one of the seven Union Territories of India. This former French colony is one of the best places to get a glimpse of colonial heritage. Its lanes have small, yellow-walled houses along with French cafes that serve delicious steaks. Pondicherry was under French rule until 1954, and it is the best place to learn yoga, meditation, and spirituality. The food, beer, beaches, ashrams, and breezy shores are what make Pondicherry a perfect place to visit.

India Cellular Jail

Cellular Jail  

India's Cellular Jail is a large former prison in Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The prison was built by the British in the early 20th century to house political prisoners from India as the movement fighting for independence from Britain grew stronger. It was closed in 1947 when India finally became independent, and the property was later turned into a memorial. The preserved cell blocks are a spectacular landmark, and it is the principal cultural heritage sight on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands
