The third card is placed in the center of the players, face up.

The player to the dealer's left begins the game by playing any card they wish. The player to their left then plays a card. This process repeats until both players have played a card. The player who played the higher card of the same suit as the starter card takes the trick. The player who took the trick then sets the cards aside, face down. The first player to take all of the tricks (or with the most tricks if playing with more than 4 players) is the winner.

If a player is unable to play a card, they must pick up a card from the deck and add it to their hand. The player who picks up the last card loses the game.
