The Arc of San Diego Cocktail Reception

Generously hosted by Realtor Holly Nanula of The Holly Nanula Group, the magnificent evening treated all in attendance to stunning ocean views, hors d’oeuvres and the awe-inspiring architecture of a Camino de la Costa home in La Jolla. A silent auction that evening featured incredible items including original artwork by Erik Skoldberg (whose pieces adorn the home), stunning jewelry and gift certificates to The French Gourmet, Eddie V’s and Sbicca Del Mar. Guests raised vital funds for life-changing programs at The Arc that empower participants to be vibrant, engaged, contributing members of their communities. The Arc of San Diego serves over 2,500 children and adults each year with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome. 

Meteor Shower Premiere at The Old Globe

Steve Martin’s absurdist new comedy Meteor Shower premiered at The Old Globe on August 7th to roars of laughter. Starring Jenna Fischer (The Office), Greg Germann (Ally McBeal), Alex Henrikson (Broadway’s The Snow Geese) and Josh Stamberg (The Affair), the premiere event had theatre-lovers flocking to their seats. Running through September 18th, Meteor Shower drums up the unexpected when Norm and his wife Corky invite another couple to their Ojai backyard to watch a meteor shower in the night sky. As the stars come out and the conversation gets rolling, cocktails flow, tempers flare and sparks fly—literally. 

​Laughs4Warriors Dinner and Comedy Gala

The second annual Laughs4Warriors Dinner & Comedy Gala, hosted by the Us4Warriors Foundation, was an evening full of fun, great food, sensational spirits and tons of laughs at the Marina Village Conference Center’s Bayview Room. Nearly $7,000 was raised to support the troops, veterans and their families. Entertainment was provided by the hilarious Veterans of Comedy (Erik Knowles, Will C, Ibo Brewer and JR Redwater). Us4Warriors CEO Tony Stewart explains, "We are a group of uncompensated veterans just trying to help. Working to support the troops, veterans and their families in one of the largest populations of military and veterans in the country is a calling that we dedicate a great deal of time...
